One of the best teams I saw this year play in Japan is actually an university team called Senshu University.

You may think, hey, how good can the university league be right?
The standard is actually quite high, and many players go onto play in the J-league after they gradudate.

The top university teams do quite well even when they play against the top J1 outfits.

The game I saw Senshu was against Waseda where my TOC academy is based, so I was kind of cheering for Waseda, but only to see Senshu play some amazing football and win the game 4-1.

Yesterday, Senshu beat Tsukuba in a top of the table crash, and looks like they've wrapped up the title with only a game to go and being 3 points clear at the top.

Waseda, where some players have helped me with coaching the TOC kids have a game today against their rival, Keio in a game Waseda could go above Keio and be 4th on the table if they win.
Come on Waseda!!
